To start out you are talking about somewhere between $35-45K with a degree and experience while in school. If you have a masters and 3+ years of experience doing the type of research you do then $50-70K. At the top levels like 10+ years of experience and a PhD… and lots of time in the space you can make $100-300K. That will include 4 years of an undergraduate degree, 2-3 years of a masters, and 4-7 years of a PhD and steady work experience in the space… then after you graduate with your PhD work in the space for 5+ years and you will start earning that higher salary.
